hangs when quitting mailgroup

One of my mail groups hangs when I quit it.  I'll get the "deleted
expired messages" message, then "saving".  If I hit ctl-g, then quit
again, it quits correctly, and I have no problem when entering the
next time.

I don't have this problem with other mail or news groups.

Here are the pertinent files:

-rw-r--r--    1 mbain    mbain     2675272 Dec  7 13:25 wet

-rw-------    1 mbain    mbain      363079 Dec  7 13:25 wet.nov

I use fetchmail to split my incoming stream for nnfolder spool files.

I use total expire that sends the deleted emails to an archive file.

I'm sure there are other settings that you need to know ...
