I'd have suggested to set `message-interactive' to t, but it's default
is already t:

| message-interactive is a variable defined in `message.el'.
| Its value is nil
|
| Documentation:
| Non-nil means when sending a message wait for and display errors.
| nil means let mailer mail back a message to report errors.
