Hi,

The Ring team is proud to announce new versions of Ring for GNU/Linux (Ubuntu/Debian/Fedora) and Android!

During the last few weeks, Sebastien Blin worked on shiny brand new account settings for the GNOME client,
inspired by the new GNOME 3 settings, meant to make account management and configuration seamless and easy.

Hugo Lefeuvre made sure to get the conversation view as fast and efficient as possible,
even with a large history with many images!

Philippe Gorley worked on call recording support, using the WebM format (a subset of MKV),
with VP8 video and Opus audio, or just Ogg with Opus for audio call recording.

The Android client was refactored by myself to have a better contact management and internal model (using RxJava),
possibility to share files with Ring from any apps, possibility to send GIFs and images from the keyboard,
Android TV improvements, notifications improvements and many bug fixes.
We are also working with the F-Droid community to make the release publication process
as automated as possible on F-Droid.

Additionally there is always ongoing work to improve connectivity on every platforms,
and major progress was made during the last few months.

Next months we will focus on the Win32 version which is now lagging behind,
macOS and iOS clients, and start designing the next major features.

Best regards,
