No. 

We have mach, and it shows me quite clearly that it works.

right now in qemu and everytime I push updated wiki code to flubber. 

It's just not the most efficient kernel _we can imagine_, but it works! 
And it does already provide options Linux can't. 

If we would always require a perfect system up front, we shouldn't work with 
Linux either. Neither should we work with Windows or MacOSX - or BSD or any 
other program. 

There are still shortcomings of Mach, but Hurd doesn't depend on mach, so we 
can replace the microkernel later on. 

Does anyone know how the "Hurd translators on BSD" project did work out?
