Dear Libtool maintainers,
I have prepared a variant of the previously submitted patch
which just differs in the option insertion method. This one
inserts the to-be-tested option(s)
(1) after the last *FLAGS variable, if any, otherwise
(2) before the first word containing "conftest.", if any, otherwise
(3) at the end.
Branch (1) relaxes the requirements on the syntax of $ac_compile
below those of the tag-dependent method. The remaining branches
reflect my previous approach and should be regarded as reasonable
fallback methods.
Best regards,
Christian Cornelssen
