Thanks for mentioning. I messed up when adjusting the release template.
So, in fact, we know of three errors in that release so far:
- we do not actually distribute a .bz2 version of 1.5.22
(neither of any other 1.5.x; 2.0 will have one).
- The instructions to obtain anonymous CVS access were outdated.
- I accidentally bootstrapped libtool-1.5.22 with CVS versions of
Autoconf and Automake, instead of using 2.59/1.9.6.
I apologize for these errors. However, I believe they are minor enough
not to warrant another release, unless more grave issues turn up. The
first two have been corrected on the web pages.
