I made a quick search in the Postscript reference manual
(http://partners.adobe.com/asn/developer/technotes/postscript.html)
and it seems that only cubic Bézier curves are supported in Postscript.
Of course, you could get a good approximation of a higher order spline
by dividing the curve into several segments.
