Thanks! There is just one warning remaining which appears repeatedly
during `make install', e.g.
make[2]: Leaving directory `lilypond/stepmake'
install-info --info-dir=/usr/local/info ./out/lilypond.info
install-info: No such file or directory for ./out/lilypond.info
make[1]: [install-info] Error 1 (ignored)
