I've noticed a similar thing with Lily2.4: Acrobat 4 and 6 seem to display PDFs generated by LilyPond with all the fonts and lines quite blotchy if the command -Ppdf is included when running dvips. Not including this command seems to make quite a good result in Acrobat 4 and 6. Acrobat 5 works the other way around., producing good output with -Ppdf and bad without. From: Han-Wen Nienhuys <address@hidden> Subject: smooth CFF fonts? To: address@hidden Cc: address@hidden Message-ID: <address@hidden> Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Hi there, I noticed that the music symbols in PDF files now look much worse in Acrobat compared to the Type1 fonts. The curves look jaggy. Am I correct that the CFF files aren't antialiased/hinted? Is this is a FontForge, GS, Acrobat or PDF problem? --Han-Wen Nienhuys | address@hidden | http://www.xs4all.nl/~hanwen
