The 2.6.5 package is not clean enough to be merged into Debian or
Ubuntu. I've built it because, as you said, it's the easiest way to get
Lily on Ubuntu.
If I find some time these days, I'll try to build a cleaner package for
dapper.

Great. Maybe could you build a lilypond-snapshot package without the doc
(building the documentation for 2.7 series is a real problem with breezy
and dapper), which allow to install both stable and development releases ?
