You mean vertically?
Correct. (Attached is the original image showing the weird optical
effect: the noteheads are all actually the same size and the triangle
bases touch stafflines completely ... and the result is that staffline
noteheads appear smaller somehow.)

The gap will simply be blackened by lower resolutions...

Well, as Han-Wen said: Make the triangle shape slightly bigger
vertically: In case the triangle sits on a note line, this isn't
visible. In the other case, the broadened base should correct the
optical size.
Very good. I'll check with Max and see if we can try a bigger vertical
size (while also letting staffspace noteheads connect completely to
get rid of the gap).
