Not sure I understand the question, but if you are
suggesting it might be better to write an engraver
that fishes out the dynamics from all the voices
within a PianoStaff and combines them centered
between the two staves, then I guess it would be.
But it would be more work, and realistically isn't
likely to happen. The alternative, which these
patches provide, is easy to implement and provides
a relatively easy way to generate centered dynamics
for piano music.
