Given the problems with the current GUI shell and python

Any takers for compiling lilypad with py2app ?
I just did this on a Mac OS X 10.5 system. The app opens fine on
10.5
x86, but I am unable to test on other operating systems and
architectures. Here is the tarball:
http://uoregon.edu/~pmccarty/lilypad.tar.gz
I compared the original tarball to this one, and they are very
similar. So I assume this GUI doesn't work on OS X 10.4 and earlier
as well.
I really want to help out with this, but I don't know how to proceed.
I don't have administrative privileges on the Mac OS X 10.5 system I'm
using, so I can't change the overall setup. But I could compile and
install programs as a normal user if I need to.
Do I need to compile Python 2.4 (or later) with different configure
options to make it compatible with OS X 10.4 and 10.3 as well as 10.5?
Should I try using the latest SVN revision of py2app?
