This helped, thanks! I have to remember to "make" before trying to
"make web" again.
However, IIRC it was not successful at first, only a second make web
did complete the process after an error I cannot remember. Honestly, I
cannot remember when it was the last time "make web" worked at first.
I have all links on HTML menus untranslated, could it becaused by a
skipped stage in the compile process?
A great point is, I now have a fairly minimal list of packages that
have to be installed on Ubuntu 8.10 to get LP+Docs compiled. All
additional packages get installed by implicit dependencies. These are:
autoconf build-essential flex guile-1.8-dev python-dev fontforge
gettext t1utils libpango1.0-dev texinfo texlive-metapost bison
(and texi2html from CVS for the docs only)
