Yes, but I see that there's still some LD_LIBRARY_PATH in
gub/tools.py from the online git version -- lines 31 and 69.

Ok. Could I suggest that the final line be added to the makefile
as "make clean" ?
I did "rm -rf target", then tried again. It died at the same
place.
