I understand your point, let me now explain the situation of LSR
snippets import into Lily sources. LSR web site requires contributors
to put the snippets they add in public domain, partly to make ly code
reuse easier; then, when we import those snippets in LilyPond sources,
we add a header at the beginning of each snippet source file
automatically with a home-made Python script, and I think the only
additions that are not too small to qualify for copyright are texidocs
translations; should we require translators to put them there, or do we
want to have English texidocs in public domain and translated ones under
FDL? I prefer the former alternative.

Best,
John
