Sorry, there's a bit of confusion here. The past policy was:
- Main developers should be listed under "main developers" and nowhere
else. Main developers may appear in both the current and previous if
they want to (i.e. they changed jobs).
- anybody not a main developer who worked on anything up to and
including 2.16 should be listed under "previous contributors".
- anybody not a main developer who worked on 2.17 should be listed under
"current contributors".
A contributor can thus be listed twice (under previous and current).
