Thank you for the clarification. At this point, what is needed to continue 
building further releases of LilyPond?

afaics: Nothing.

A lrelease of stable/2.20 would need either python 2.7 or a fixed musicxml2ly, 
but I don't see a reason not to release a new build of master.
