I think the equally, if not more important factor is what we actually
*can* support. For example, it was fundamentally impossible to produce
working 64-bit binaries for Windows with Guile 1.8. Likewise it won't
be possible to (fully) support Windows 7 if we don't want to get stuck
on Python 3.8.10, see

I like Karlin's proposal of "supported on current versions of Windows"
because more changes will happen in the future, even dropping support
for certain editions of Windows 10. Without testing on every one of
them, we won't necessarily notice until some user does.
