I've experienced similar behavior like described in message

User Manual for LilyPond version 2.5.15, which I downloaded today: the
noteheads are missing. Please see attached image.
I use Acrobat Reader 5.0.5a CE, Windows 2000
Could you tell me please, if I can do anything to make it look properly, or
is it an error of the file (maybe damaged during download?).
