Yes, that's the well-known wish, which we are very well aware of.

No, because the last 10 days have been a hell of a week for me after coming 
back from a short vacation (writing a project report for a 250.000$ research 
project, had my server hacked and had to rebuild it from scratch, officiated 
5 American football games this weekend, had two choir concerts, a large 
conference at our department yesterday, ...)

No, it's just as simple: In the .init script check whether we are in a bigfile 
or not and insert a link to eithr ../index[.LANG].html 
or ./index[.LANG].html. The only thing that needs to be thought of is where 
to place that link exactly....

for a list of all known issues and suggestions for the docs. Some of them are 
quite simple (e.g. making the TOC headline a link to Top, using the manual's 
name as TOC headline, or putting the manual's full title on the start page).
