which, on my side, works perfectly !

It does not work - I got it to work by including a long override string.

This should be as simple as adding a hyphen with the finger number, but they are not showing up. For example, when I try to place a f chord fret diagram above a melody note:

c,^markup { \fret-diagram-terse #"2-2;o;1-1;o;" }

It prints a f chord chart but with no fingerings :( help!
