I would also say this definitely belongs here. If anything we should try
to make use of it and retrieve knowledge from the occasion. I would be
happy if there would be even more explanation rather than examples. Of
course an example can help a lot, and just yesterday I wrote a reply
consisting of not more than one line of Scheme.

But anyway I think more resources about Scheme (and if only in the
lilypond-user archives) may serve as an opportunity to open that path to
more users.
I think that is worth more than reducing the traffic for people not
interested in the topic.
