Though the output is not convincing, imho.

I'd prefer:

\new Staff
  \relative c ' {
    \time 4/4
    \partial 4
    <b b'>4 ~
    <b b'>1\laissezVibrer
    <b e f a b d>1\repeatTie
  }

Probably lengthen the semi-ties a bit.
