Usually, I do the drawing manually because it is more accurate. But you're right, for your glyphs I have used the paths from Inkscape.

I assume that you didn't code these paths by hand.
 - What tool did you use?
 - What does an SVG file with these same paths look like?

I'm curious because I may want to make my own symbols, and this seems like an elegant solution.

How would one add these symbols to LilyPond? I know it's possible to draw shapes, but I'm not sure exactly how to do that.
