Hi Harm,

I'll go for a "proper" implementation within the following days.

A switch between "as if the semibreves were stemmed" and freely floating
centred beams will also be provided.
Probably even between minims (half notes), as in the first example shown in
the scan (Elaine Gould, Behind Bars):

I like your idea of having a separate user-settable gap for floating beams.
I'm using the term "floating tremolo beams" because, as we have seen, even
stemmed notes can have freely floating beams.
They should, imho, properly align with the stave lines (todo).


*Current status*

This is what your example looks like at the moment with all the fixes
switched off:

Apart from the negotiable vertical position of the beams, it is pretty much
mimicking what you've done using your custom stencil.
