I. Question for the original poster: There is a comment about ambiguity of nested repeats under the "Known issues and warnings" heading in the NR[1]. Were you sufficiently aware of that such that if it had had been more verbose, you might have been able to solve your problem?
I wasn't aware of the ambiguity. But that is not necessarily due to it not being mentioned clearly (enough).
I'm using LP for years and consult the manual when I look up stuff I don't know off the top of my head (or have no working examples readily available for copy-and-paste in my existing code). The new \repeat \alternative syntax had been mentioned at one point (or twice ;) ) on the list and it appeared more logical which is why I remembered it w/o needing to read up on it.
What I would need is a "This has changed" summary for new releases. I understand providing this incurs a resource problem. Thus I live with me occasionally missing out on important details of changes.
