Matej Cepl has a lot of definitions of the form

    def @Thing {
        @DP
        stuff
    }

This will not do what he thinks it will do.  If you want to write
definitions you really need to understand what an object is; Lout
is not a macro language like TeX and troff.  The first few sections
of the User's Guide, and then the first half of the first chapter
of the Expert's Guide, are the things to study to get this knowledge.
