Indeed, I think I never found "Contenuto" in any italian book. Still I find
"Sommario" a better (o anyway another correct and used) name for the short
list of chapters or sections or other logical parts in the same order as
they appear in the document or book (a structural description, let's say),
leaving "Indice" to other alphabetical or otherwise sorted lists of
elements (qualified words or verses or whatever). (A "Sommario", no doubt,
is a "Indice" too, as long as every item points ("indica") a page, but not
all "Indici" are "Sommari".)
