Alpine 2.00 (LFD 1167 2008-08-23) |
the current versions in GPP appear to be:
* libpcap-0.8.3
* tcpdump-3.8.3
i just tested a build with:
* libpcap-0.9.8
* tcpdump-3.9.8
and those versions appear to build just fine, also without patches.
however, trying to build with:
* libpcap-1.0.0
* tcpdump-4.0.0
blew up badly. if i have time later, i may look into that, unless
someone else already has patches to make those versions work.
in any event, upgrading to the *9.8 versions appears to be safe.
