Hi Lucas,

Thanks for the heads-up. As things get updates (in the distro world) we do run into things like this. Once HH is out and if I have time I'll look for a "proper" fix. We probably don't need to force it, but override a macro. If in the mean time someone else can look into fix that, it would help me out. For example, if you look at rpm-fs right now you'll see:

%Install
export NO_BRP_STALE_LINK_ERROR=yes

This was to avoid a similar type of issue on a previous update to the distro's rpm IIRC. Normally there are overrides that can be used.

Regards, Stuart

Hi Stuart,

Unfortunately this is misleading as Debian/rpm (stub) thinks you want to
 install on the build machine.

Can you check that you do have a real rpm installed on your host. On mine
(lenny based) I have:

In fact the problem was the RPM version, using Karmic, or debian
testing, the rpm es 4.7 and adds a patch that fails when trying to
install. I believe that there is a --force option. I'm now using the
Hardy version and works fine.

Thank you!

Lucas
