Hi Paolo,

There's no patch as such, just what's checked into Savannah CVS. You can track the changes here though: http://cvs.savannah.gnu.org/viewvc/ltib/dist/lfs-5.1/qtopia/qtopia.spec?root=ltib&view=log

Hi Paolo,

It sounds like you're on the right track. I don't have this board, but maybe others on the list who already have this running on that platform may be able to help.

BTW: you mention you're building qtopia2, note that there was a recent patch (mid August) that changed some parameters for the 3250, make sure you have the latest from CVS if you do not already.

Hi Stuart,
you are right, I did not startx, but when I did it,

address@hidden /]# export DISPLAY=:0.0
address@hidden /]# startx
Warning: mode not found, using default
error: Invalid argument

Fatal server error:
no screens found
twm: unable to open display ":0"
killall: Xfbdev: no process killed
address@hidden /]#
I check also the kernel, and the framebuffer is enabled.
Also, if I do:

ls -la > /dev/fb0

I see some "dirty" on the top line of the LCD so I think the fb0 device
is "connected to the LCD.

to avoid the message:

Warning: mode not found, using default

I have tested (my screen is 240x320)

address@hidden /]# Xfbdev :0 -ac -screen 320x240
error: Invalid argument

Fatal server error:
no screens found
address@hidden /]#
There isn't "Mode not found", but the screen is still "ghost".

At boot the Linux logo is displayed on the screen, but nothing more.

Regards, Paolo

Hi Paolo,

Just to be sure, did you run 'startx' or similar first?
Also make sure you have the frame buffer device enabled in the kernel.

Yes, I did, but:

Can't open display ":0.0"

Hi ALL,
I have built an image for the Phytec LPC3250 with X11 and Qtopia 2. The LCD and touchscreen are enabled. I have included also DILLO.
The image is correctly downloaded on the target.
I run DILLO, but the following message is generated:

address@hidden /]#dillo
paths: Cannot open file '//.dillo/dillorc'
paths: Using /usr/etc/dillo/dillorc
paths: Cannot open file '//.dillo/keysrc'
paths: Using /usr/etc/dillo/keysrc
dillo_dns_init: Here we go! (threaded)
Disabling cookies.
Can't open display ""
address@hidden /]#

as if the display (/dev/fb0) is not the default screen device.

Any suggestion?
Did you export the DISPLAY variable before launching dillo?
$ export DISPLAY=:0 or $ export DISPLAY=:0.0
Regards,
Renato
