My guess is that you missed some of the instructions in the original
download.  At some point it probably asked you to run some install
script, which would have placed that "gz" file.  For example after
running the install.sh script that came with my download (which had
to be authorized by someone at Freescale), I get this from
/opt

$ find . | grep codeclib
./freescale/pkgs/fsl-mm-codeclib-mx27-1.6.1-3.tar.gz

When you run "ltib" and it goes to find this file, it will find
it there, and not try to attempt to get it from bitshrine.org, which
will always fail, because they don't put the proprietary stuff
on the open download repositories.
