Hi Stuart,

Again, thanks. Let me try to reply as much as I can :

The Linux box is not accessible to the DS board directly. Presently, the DS board can not be hooked up to the Linux box directly. There arises my problem on how to deploy the target set up to the board.

However, the Linux box is accessible from the desktop (Windows XP) through a putty session as well as VNC server. The desktop (where the Wind River UI is running) is hooked up to the Wind River Probe through the USB. The Wind River Probe is then connected to the DS board through an (BDM) Interface.

Yes, Wind River application that I am running is Windows based, so I have to use the desktop, presently I have no other option.

Thanks.

Shila

Hi Shila,

How are you intending to deploy to the target? NFS or other?  Either way
you can deploy from your existing Linux box and then carry on on your
Windows box with whatever is set-up there.

What I can't tell is why/what you need on the different platforms.  For
example what is it you have on your Windows box that you can't do on the
Linux box?  Linux has Minicom, why provides the same function as
Hyperterminal.  Is it the Wind River Probe?  is there other stuff on the
Windows box you need?

You can install LTIB etc on the Windows box under VirtualBox/Vmware, but
I don't see the advantage unless you only have one computer and you have
to swap OSes by re-booting?

Maybe if you give a clearer example of what you're doing I can be of
more help.

Regards, Stuart
