Simon, Kieran,

Thanks for the feedback, I will start from 1.4.0rc1. My goal is also to
eventually have a dual IPv4/v6 stack, maybe even if not running together
to be able to choose at run time which one to use (per each netif?).

It will for sure take more than a month, but I hope to put it a big effort
and having something alpha-quality by the end of the year.
