Follow-up Comment #3, bug #54062 (project lwip):

So LWIP_ERROR shall be used for null pointer checks? As I see it is already
used for the higher API layers netconn and socket.

Only the low level, callback style API use no LWIP_ERROR checks. I can take
care of it, if nobody other want to do it ;)
