I got it to build under VS.Net, but I don't have VS.Net 2003. The changes necessary for a VS.Net compile were intrusive enough that they weren't committable to the main branch, but as I understand it, it's possible 2003's C++ support is more capable and wouldn't need such intrusive changes.

Nop. There's talk about adding a feature to only pull as much as is absolutely required.

Also, can you commit to a remote server?

Also not yet.  I've not heard any plans about this.

If not, are these features planned at some stage?

And third, perhaps a change to the installer with an option to include
monotone in the PATH.
