I've attached a patch that triggers this bug in 3 tests in our testsuite
(one of which is new with the patch) via:
ls unknown
automate unknown
cvs_import
I couldn't find any other places that would run into this, but there may
be some.
I'm not sure how to make running the tests depend on being on a system
that allows '\' characters in file names though, any pointers?
