It was compiled with a special glibc with static nss (files, dns). This is
the same configuration running the x86-linux-glib-stat buildbot. There are a
few annoying workarounds:
gcc specs file 'cause ld doesn't merge --start-group --end-group options
forcing ld to link in libpthread, so raise() works
