Ehm... the other way around: the B patch is the same as your earlier one,
just with whitespace corrections.  And patch A does something extra with
a button.

Neither of them is what I asked for: to make only the changes that are
/necessary/ to fix the bug, and leave out any refactoring.

Something like the attached patch.  It fixes the issue both for the
shortcuts and for the prompt bar.  Or am I overlooking something?
