I would not have markmatch turned on all the time, just like I don't
have search backwards or search regex always on, but I have a shortcut
to toggle it on when useful. I was hoping markmatch could be the same
way. And perhaps some people (like Obel) would want to have it turned on
all the time. It's not a costly feature in terms of code length, you've
done all the work already, also documenting, it would not really be a
win discarding it now I would think.
