Follow-up Comment #12, bug #44751 (project octave):

Just compiled the latest version and I'm afraid the problem is still there,
with 100% reproducibility.

I was trying to look at the code but didn't know where to start: is it in
libinterp/corefcn/toplev.cc? I was looking at clean_up_and_exit() but it seems
that the problem occurs before this point.
