Follow-up Comment #2:
Hi Miguel, thank you for adding your config.log. From this I can see
configure:73317: WARNING: Qt libraries not found -- disabling GUI
After you've runned ./configure it showed:
configure:76811: WARNING: UNEXPECTED: found nth_element working in g++ 4.8.2.
Has it been patched on your system?
configure:76896: WARNING: OSMesa library not found. Offscreen rendering with
OpenGL will be disabled.
configure:76956: WARNING: JAVA_HOME environment variable not initialized.
Auto-detection will proceed but is unreliable.
configure:76966: WARNING: Qt libraries not found -- disabling GUI
So please install the Qt (and propably you want also the osmesa libs) and run
./configure && make again
See Link in comment #1 howto install the dependencies.
I'm going to close this as invalid but feel free to comment this or ask on the
help mailinglist if you need more help compiling Octave from source.
