Follow-up Comment #27, bug #45488 (project octave): @Michael: Yes, this is due to some changes in the build system that happened just a few days ago. It used to be that the build system was recursive and cd'ed into each directory and then ran commands from there. Now the build system sits at the top-level and issues commands which have a directory component. If you look at plotimages.m you can see that the first argument to the function is the directory where it should operate. I've got a changeset 3/4 complete that deals with this and the figure (1, 'visible', 'off') issue.
