I am using gnome. I will figure it out. Use your time
to get the patches straight.

Oh, I tried your quick patch for the make check problem.
It caused the tests to be run, but each line
had the full path to the script, so it did not look too
nice. Anyhow, the patch did not apply cleanly so it will
probably work when you apply it. Again, low priority.
