Follow-up Comment #4, bug #45548 (project octave): Yes this could definitely be a video driver issue with your particular hardware and your version of Linux Mint. Do setting the environment variables LIBGL_ALWAYS_INDIRECT=1 or LIBGL_ALWAYS_SOFTWARE=1 have any effect for you? Are you able to test on a different system?
