Follow-up Comment #2, bug #46358 (project octave):
Once you have installed the io package from the octave-forge website (pkg
install -forge io like JohnD wrote),
- restart Octave, and type the following commands:
- pkg load io
- more off
- chk_spreadsheet_support ("", 3)
## (That's two consecutive double quotes,
## two consecutive single quotes is OK as well)
You'll get quite a bit of diagnostic output that may help solve io package
problems.
Type:
help chk_spreadsheet_support
for an explanation of input parameters and output etc.
