Follow-up Comment #18, bug #53526 (project octave):

Oh, I get what you mean.  That "20" happens to be placed in the box in
QtCreator as an example string and the translator utility thinks that is
something it has to translate.  One approach would be to go to the QtCreator
property settings, select the "text" field and delete the "20".

However you are detecting that translation is being done on the
varedit_columnWidth object, can you see any similar thing going on for the
QSpinBoxes?  Say, editor_notebook_tab_width_min?  If not, then a QSpinBox
should do.  One should be able to select a value of 20 somehow in the
QSpinBox's properties menu.
