Follow-up Comment #5, bug #53845 (project octave): Matlab allows to "automagically" change whether OpenGL with hardware acceleration or software is used. [1] The syntax is: opengl('save','software') It would be nice if Octave had something similar. Even better if this worked cross-platform. For now the work-around could be documented in "15.4.8.1 Customizing Toolkit Behavior".
