Follow-up Comment #46, bug #54235 (project octave):

Ok then, I honestly don't know if it's a serious warning or not that the GMP
and MPFR header versions are older than the installed libraries. Octave does
not use GMP or MPFR directly.

The message is saying that gfortran 4.9.2 was built against these older
versions of GMP and MPFR. Does that mean anything for building the end-user's
Fortran code? I don't know.

Let's just ignore that for now and try to configure again with LD_ALTEXEC not
set, and with LD_LIBRARY_PATH and PKG_CONFIG_PATH set as you had them before.

I would like to see another config.log, even if configure succeeds, to verify
that the big-endian bug symptom is in there.

The code boxes are created on Savannah using '' and '' tags. There is a link
above the entry box that says "Rich Markup", which lists all of the markup
syntax you can use.
